Candace Rasmussen, Administrative Assistant
Candace Rasmussen is from Carroll County, Maryland, and is currently pursuing a degree in Music and Performing Arts at Carroll Community College. Starting in fourth grade, Candace picked up the clarinet and was eager to learn multiple instruments thereon. Now, she is familiar with the trumpet and baritone, and also plays other instruments such as the classic keyboard, Eb clarinet, and ukulele. Candace also has a passion for marching band, which she participated in for all four years of high school. After that, she went on to pursue her dream of being in DCI, becoming a drum major for the Raiders DBC in 2020-21. She plans to continue her marching career with the Raiders until she ages out. In her free time, Candace likes to create music by writing covers and original songs. She and her baby sister Brandi are so thrilled to be a part of such a big project!
Rebecca Voorhees, Cheif Communication Officer
Rebecca Voorhees (she/her) is from Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, and received her bachelor’s degree in English with minors in Education and Women’s and Gender Studies from Wilkes University. Her marching career started in DCA with The Skyliners Drum and Bugle Corps, then she eventually joined Fusion Core. Today, she is a staff member at Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps helping lead the winter visual program in 2019 and moving to music instruction in 2020. Outside of the drum corps circuit, Rebecca was a drum major with the Wilkes University Marching Colonels and was awarded the Second Annual Vivace Music Scholarship at the Collegiate Marching Band Festival in 2017. She also participated in the 69th Annual Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band at Elizabethtown College. Rebecca is excited to begin this innovative journey with Making Space in Music. When she’s not working her normal 9-5, she enjoys cooking and watching The Office with her two cats, Weasley and Holden.
DeLano Bonner, Chief Financial Officer
DeLano Bonner resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia and works as an IT professional for an e-commerce company. His passion for the performing arts started in high school where he played trumpet in the marching and jazz band. He went on to march 5 years of drum corps with the Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps. After aging out, he served as a member of the instructional and administrative staff over a 15 year span.
Fallon Oeser, Chief Marketing Officer
Fallon Oeser grew up heavily interested in and involved with music in Brookfield, Connecticut. She graduated from Wellesley College in 2018 with a degree in Classics and currently works in sports journalism. She has maintained her passion for music over the years and is excited to provide students with the opportunities she was fortunate to have.
Tucker McGrew, Chief Operational Officer
Tucker McGrew is from Charleston, South Carolina, and got his degree from Western Carolina University in Music Industry as a part of the classical piano studio. He marched with the Raiders Drum & Bugle Corps for three years as a marimba player before aging out in 2019 as the head drum major. He currently works for the Raiders and Virtual Arts as both program’s Membership Manager. Outside of DCI, Tucker is a marimba player for the Pride of the Mountains marching band at WCU and enjoys watching Survivor with his three cats.
Tamun Hanjra, Diversity and Inclusiveness Evaluation Officer
Tamun Hanjra (she/her) is a third-year student at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and is from Northern VA. She is studying Psychology with a concentration in behavioral neuroscience and child development. She looks forward to furthering research in preventative measures we can take with mental health. Tamun has marched Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps and indoor with Thomas Jefferson High School on cymbals and enjoyed marching piccolo in high school as well. Tamun is a section leader with the Illini Drumline as well. She loves making TikToks, jewelry, and music. She looks forward to working with everyone to make space in music.
Maddy Farmer, Educational Development Officer
Maddy Farmer is from Berryville, Virginia, and is currently pursuing a degree in Music Education at Western Carolina University with a minor in Psychology. Primarily a tubist, Maddy has been involved in various concert, outdoor, and indoor scholastic ensembles for over seven years. Maddy marched with Pride of the Mountains Marching Band as a sousaphone player and marketing staff member in 2018 and 2019, before taking the position of Staff Coordinator/Event Assistant for the 2020 year. She continues to serve as the staff coordinator and takes great pride in being an advocate for diversity, accessibility, and equal rights for students in collegiate marching band. Outside of band, Maddy enjoys playing Animal Crossing, making art, and taking long naps.
